Better to give his arm a rest than to ruin it.

He's done great but Guerrero has surpassed him in the batting department.

Fragile, mentally and physically.

He can still pinch hit.

If Toronto's Guerrero wins the Triple Crown (currently he leads the league in homeruns and batting average, but not runs-batted-in) and leads his team into the playoffs, while Ohtani's Angels finishes with a losing record - would Guerrero deserve the league MVP

Vladdy has had a better season offensively. But the combination of Ohtani’s pitching and hitting, and the fact that we’ve never seen a player do what he’s done, is what’s giving him the edge. I’m a lifelong Blue Jays fan and I would love to see Vladdy win the MVP award this year, but I think the BBWAA have already made up their mind on who the MVP is.

The result of the physical abuse kinds in baseball suffer here and the precious Koshien. Get well soon. I suspect it'll be Tommy Lee surgery by next year, and permanent DL mid-next season, at least for pitching. Hopefully he can still hit.
