Fantastic win for ireland, loved watching every second of that game, so glad the paddy's beat the wannabes.
Winless for 25 years at Eden Park for the aussies lets hope it continues haha.
25 YEARS ya mugs.

Well done Ireland! As an Aussie it hurts to lose in any sport - but those Irish boys fully deserved the win! I can't see the Wannabies recovering from this. Sadly for them, all of Australia was glued to the National Rugby League and Aussie Rules Finals tonight anyway. Did anyone see the Wannabies pack? They must all be auditioning for the Michelin Man! So out of shape compared to the Kiwis. Quade Cooper and Will (MIni Me) Genia will hopefully be dropped for the Aussies next game. The game was a kick-a-thon too which is a pretty sad advert for Rugby Union.
I reckon the Irish are smokies to make the final of this cup against the Blacks...

Ireland played amazingly and earned the win. Congrats!
I now fear the Aussies will take their frustrations out on the Americans. Could be an ugly game come Friday.

Seven members of the Wallabies' starting XV - Kurtley Beale, Quade Cooper, Anthony Faingaa, Will Genia, Pat McCabe, James O'Connor and David Pocock - were not even born when the Wallabies last won in Auckland, on September 6, 1986, while reserve forward Scott Higginbotham was only one day old.

The Irish did their homework and stopped the green and gold at source. Used their nous to keep the ball above ground and get the turnover. Keep Cooper quiet, disrupt the supply to the backs and you can pretty much stifle the Australian free flowing game. Games are won by forwards, backs decide by how much. The Irish proved that today. Aussies will be in the mix at the end.

And only 3 were born in OZ! Bottom line - we just don't have any depth in rugby union in Australia, and need to import players. In Australia, the good young athletes play Aussie rules and Rugby League, which is why Rugby Union need to import players. I will cheer the Wallabies on through this tourney - but I reckon we will be done in the Semis...

ExportExpert beat me to it, but let me second that LOL!
But wouldn't that be a sign that "The End" is nigh when when the Americans can beat the Aussies in rugby?
ExportExpert
Oh yeah and the aussies got beat at eden park again today, and the All blacks didnt even have to raise a sweat lol.

True. Union is the number 4 footy code back home - pretty amazing that we can even compete and be called second favourite! The Wobblies have now blown out to $9 to win the Cup - from $4.50 a week ago! Kiwis at $1.60 (should be $1.20 if you ask me).

JTO - yes, Ireland managed the game right through the 80 minutes. As a neutral, a close, hard fought match that, perhaps the Southern teams aren't used to.

Now I`ll have to put all my money on the Canadians! lol...
