Asashoryu, Hakuho drop in on Hatoyama

Yokozunas Asashoryu and Hakuho visited Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama at his official residence on Thursday to thank him for watching them last month on the final day of the autumn tournament.

The two grand champions were accompanied by Japan Sumo Association President Musashigawa. Entering the official residence, the two yokozunas looked a little nervous. During their 10-minute meeting, Hatoyama encouraged the two wrestlers to liven up the sumo dohyo even more. Hakuho replied that he wants to win the yearend tournament in Kyushu.

Asashoryu invited the prime minister to visit Mongolia and have some horse-milk alcohol.

Can only imagine how Musashigawa cringed when Hatoyama made his "liven up the sumo dohyo" comment.

That shot looks like they have him in custody. Either that or they're about to take one step back each and rip him right in half.

Sounds much better than the horse urine alcohol of Kazakhstan!

"Hakuho replied he wants to win the year-emd tournament in Kyushu"

He'll have to get past the man on the left in this photo.

Good to see those two getting along.
