Jeez.
I wonder what the video footage shows?

The club/stadium should claim it. Aren't both of these plaintiffs actually trying to steal a ball that doesn't belong to them?

Well the video hopefully will clear this up. But who ever is trying to steal it from the other person really has no shame. But maybe thats a sign of American society!. I just can't imagine someone having the audacity to actually try and pinch it from the other person. 18 year old....still a kid in many ways. Legally an adult.

If Belanski is allowed to keep and/or profit off the sale of the ball then from now on full on death matches should be allowed at ball games. People with concealed carry permits should be allowed to pull out their guns and shoot others who rightfully caught a ball, then claim it was theirs. I mean, if you can pin a kid down and tear it out of his hand, why not just allow a little more bloodsport?

The attorney needs to file an injunction like asap.
On the other hand, every lawyer in the U.S regardless of the merits or lack thereof will claim to have confidence that they have a "strong case".

The video is on youtube. Search Lawsuit filed as fans fight over possession of Ohtani's 50-50 ball.
It is pretty clear the defendant used brute strength to pull it away from the teen.

It's so sad to see such awful greed shown so blatantly. I'm sure if I was a bystander there and saw that, it would totally ruin the great day at the park. How can that guy live with himself? (Yes, I know, money can make you do crazy things). But I know that I could never live with myself if I had to do such a thing. It's like those awful people who push themselves through kids who are trying to get their hero's autograph.
