Agree with Des..D'Arcy shouldnt be anywhere near our olympic side and spud you underestimate the morals of the Aussie taxpayer.

@ Spudman - the shameful D'Arcy story is well known by all. IMO, It is not a good look for a convicted violent criminal - funded by the Aussie worker through grants, airfares and training costs - to be willingly splashing his mug around carrying weapons on social media. Yes - we are famous for our sporting prowess in Aus - and being an ever-present top Olympic nation - but sadly it seems decency and old Olympic values are now overlooked in the quest for yet more gold... Anyway, that Japanese dude (Matsuda?) is gonna smoke him in the fly!

Des: Again there is nothing wrong with this picture just folks have it out for them. Pondscum is a bit harsh. Tax payer only cares about medals nothing more. Forget the morality of the self righteous.

one is currently on probation with a suspended jail term for a violent attack, the other for lying to police.

Actually suspended sentence is finished for Darcy (about 12 months ago) and the police pursued no case against Monk. I think you exaggerate. Never let facts get in way of a good dose of anonymous outrage eh matey?

@ Spudman - sure - normally this type of thing would be OK for the regular Joe. However these two dropkicks are on thin ice already, one is currently on probation with a suspended jail term for a violent attack, the other for lying to police. They should not be doing anything even remotely controversial considering the Aussie taxpayers are paying for their trips to the Olympics. D'Arcy is - to put it as nice as I can - pond scum.

WTF is wrong with holding a set of fire arms in America? It's legal and fun, PC dorks need to lighten up! Young and fun isn't allowed these days. Feel sorry for these young lads.

Maybe it's because they were trying to look "gangsta".

I would normally always barrack for an Aussie competitor in any sport - but I will be cheering if these two morons (one a convicted violent criminal and bankrupt) sink to the bottom of the pool.
