GO TIGERS !!!...
Yubaru
This is great to see! I am so happy for the fans of both these teams!
Fighto!
Wow - looks like an enormous police presence. Trouble expected?
Well done Tigers - it's been a long time between drinks!

Looks like local governments are certainly confident about their ability to conduct crowd control when it comes to one of their sacred cows. I didn't see the mayor of Osaka telling people to stay away. Guess Osakans should be relieved Ken Hasebe isn't one of theirs.
All that being said, I am happy for the fans - a well earned championship.

Wonder if there was any rowdy behaviour?

Well done Osaka.

Not all drinking situations are equal. Different demographics, different purposes, different contexts. Undoubtedly some people at the parade were drinking. But I don't think Thursday afternoon parade drinking is the same as Halloween night in Shibuya drinking.

In the shade of this parade, many civil servants were mobilized for free virtually forcibly by self-righteous Osaka governor of far-right party "Ishin".
This parade is exploited as typical sports-washing to obscure many problematic politics such as exploitation politics or Expo 2025 that involving human rights violation or wasting immense taxes.

The day of the parade was a public holiday. Any public officials watching would’ve been there entirely of their own volition. And while Ishin might have a city, they still have a ways to go before they have the whole country a la Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, and the other dominoes that are yet to fall.
