Pique in an interview seemed so ready to go. Of course. His friend Mikitani is waiving his dollars and yen’s under his nose. We will see him soon at Vissel joining Iniesta on a long term paid holiday.
good for them. They are 2 exceptional players and I fully grant them the money, just a pity we don’t get to see them at their best. But as professional players they are right to fully exploit the mismanagement at Vissel. They should have been champion twice already with the money they spend but they lack management not quality on the field

How the mighty have fallen.

8-2? More like a rugby score!

I wonder if Messi is gonna spend his last few years at Barca, because it doesn't look like they are going to be winning anything anytime soon.
Bayern are just a monster right now, would love to see them against City in the final.

The two Spanish giants on the slide. Real won the title in Spain but were outplayed by City in this tournament. Barcelona hammered here.
Alfie Noakes
He'd look nice in a light blue shirt with his old mentor as manager again.

It's destiny, surely? His monstrous contract is up next year. Would love to see him play [cliche alert] in Leeds on a cold, hard winter's night.

We’ll be lucky to get that against Pakistan later today. It maybe more of a Liverpool v Newcastle score

Barca has not achieved its ultimate prize since 2015 because of multiple and complex problems. These include the president Bartomeu, the coaches, the players (two of whom is Messi and Piquet), and above all, the culture of the club has changed significantly (e.g. buying the top players from other clubs instead of naturing its youth...) since the departure of Pep Guardiola in 2013.
Now is the time for Barca to replace Bartomeu and bring Pep Guardiola back.

Big win for Bayern Munich. Congratulations to the Bundesliga champions. Barça is yet to find adequate replacements for the likes of Carles Puyol, Xavi Hernandez, Javier Mascherano, and Andrés Iniesta. All the best to the Catalan giants in the season ahead.

Barcelona are messed up. I think we'll see similar implosion to that which befell Man United. They have to replace some of the best players of the last 20 years. Messi, Suarez, Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Pique.. They're going to need some very astute signings or have a lot of luck in the youth system again.

Sounds like Germany-Brazil all over again!

Fair comment, but to be fair, that group of players (plus perhaps Dani Alves & David Villa) are a once in a century team and impossible to replace. They'd wipe the floor with any team in Europe from any era, they were that good. I honestly can't think of another team in club history that could touch them.
That said, they have always been a bunch of filthy cheating divers and whingers and I'm glad they got a good gubbing last night.

"would love to see them against City in the final."
I doubt you will:
