This BBC programme is about corruption in the host bidding for the World Cup, which is owned and run by FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association). It is not run by FISA (Fédération Internationale de SOCCER Association) now is it ?

Of course most English people would love to see the World Cup hosted in the home of football, but if it means paying off corrupted, self interested supposed "guardians" of the game - yes Jack Warner I'm looking at you, yes Ricardo Teixeira you too - then no thank you.

Jack Warner is drunk on power. Already been criticised this week for with-holding promised bonuses for the Trinidad & Tobago world cup 2006 squad, this guy should not be in a position of power within FIFA.

I agree with nothlondon. a certain poster bashes Britain all the time but is ignorant of the facts. Panorama is so far from the government taht anyone who thinks otherwise is a total plonker. Over the decades the programme has discredited British politicians of all parties. It's impartiality is not in question.

Your total lack of TV journalism knowledge is obvious. Try researching the programme Panorama (instead of just the BBC) to learn about the history of their programme and the news stories they have unravelled over the years. Then try to write that nonsense post again.

I'd rather have news journalism in my country that shows some backbone and insight, rather than host a corrupt tournament in a sport that I used to love as a kid but have grown to hate and despise over the years.

Although at least we can still rely on British journalists credibility in disclosing the truth about bribery and corruption which is far more important than hosting the Corrupt World Cup once every 50 years. Freedom of speech and democracy do still exist in some countries.
