China put on a good show for the world but the IOC controversies with no resolutions left the world disappointed.

Pray for Wuhan.

Pray for Wuhan.

They don't need your prayers. They overcame the pandemic before the summer of 2020. It's called getting the job done, unlike countries like USA. I'd be praying for USA instead. They're aiming for 1 million.

I thought the Chinese New Year's holiday was over.

I thought the Chinese New Year's holiday was over.

Now they're pushing it all the way to March, lol.

Nobody else would be so obnoxious as to make their holiday last 2 months.

Go China go, anti China "cry about it"

"The Communist Party is deeply concerned about maintaining its relevance to a new Chinese generation and its propaganda machine served up a regular diet of fist-pumping patriotism with a dollop of hip, embodied by young stars like U.S.-born freestyle skier Eileen Gu."

I know anti-China propaganda is all the rage these days, but come on, seriously? If she competed for the US you think the US wouldn't have "fist-pumping patriotisim" from their "propaganda machine"? There isn't even an attempt to sound like reporters anymore is there.

Anyway, I do hope that China's goal of inspiring interest in more winter sports is realized. Not for future olympics necessarily, but it would be great to see a country with so much to offer competing in other world winter sports competitions. I would not be surprised if some of these athletes like Eileen Gu really inspired future generations.

China got more gold than the US. Yeah, that's because the US is boycotting the winter Olympics

@Freshmeat

Boycott had zero to do with the athletes, it was just some officials.

None of the boycotts would have had any impact on any countries' medal count.
