Reaching the Quarter Finals for the very first time is an achievement in itself and Japan's women's team should be very proud of what they have accomplished these Olympics.

With every tournament, they get better and better and they deserve their ranking of 6th in the world and their place in the top division of Women's international hockey!

Why do Japanese cry so much after losing sporting matches. Doesn't matter if it's Koshien, WC soccer, or this -- it really flies in the face of people saying how "stoic" the Japanese people are. And KariHaruka is right -- it was a great achievement, and they should be proud, not crying.

The worst part of them losing is you can kiss any more live coverage of the sport goodbye. While the gold medal games are being played it'll be reruns of Hirano on his snowboard.

Didnt they vide a water leak within their roons too ?

These guys are great ! Calm under duress, and what sportsmanship too.
