How many rinks does a curling team need, FFS?

Useless Scottish men.

Let’s hope the British women can atone tomorrow!

British if they win, Scottish if they lose. Right, luca?

"Honestly, there's nothing in this town. I didn't think my dream would ever come true if I stayed here," Chinami said.

Wow, that's pretty cold toward a town that raised her.

Think of curling as a supersized version of snooker on ice and you'll start to appreciate the skills required. It rapidly becomes addictive. Games are often very tight and become insanely tense.

Type 'トリノ2006オリンピック冬季競技大会カーリング' into Amazon Japan and you will find a DVD with the English title 'Review of Japanese Curling Team' [GNBW-7328] produced in 2006.

Hopefully one will be released for Loco Solare after the Beijing games.

It's a dreary place for a young person with ambition - she's not slamming her town, just saying how it is.

Don't worry. I'm sure that will be completely fixed by them spending their windfall gain of other town's taxes on a curling rink.

Outside of special events, 15,000 yen an hour is the going rate to use one, by the way.

I've been up there - there really is nothing much there. It's a dreary place for a young person with ambition - she's not slamming her town, just saying how it is.

Useless Scottish men.

Send them to Coventry!

That was the joke ; )

Sorry, luca, I was a bit slow on the uptake.

Send them to Coventry!

To Corby surely. :-)

I like curling a lot, strategy, skills, physics and sometimes luck. One can see the Japanese team is really having fun and also deserves to be in the finals. Britain will have the advantage of the first end's last stone, nevertheless I wish the Japanese team of course all the best.

Looks like they’ll be moving to Tokyo then…

The men’s final was sure intense. Can feel it through the monitor.

“Whisky” in Scotland.

Haven’t you heard of the harm that e-numbers do?

Funny. See what you did there @Fighto! 5:31pm:“that's pretty cold toward a town that raised her

- “raised in Tokoro, a town that faces the Sea of Okhotsk and Lake Saroma and is deep in the wilderness” -

You go, girls! Bring it Home!

Well done! Another great job by one more great Japanese women's team.

I wonder whether folks in Takara could hear the teammates shouting instructions and encouragement to each other.

Japanese curling teams generally practice in Canada as they don't have enough rinks in Japan
