Russia caught cheating again, and being let off again.

Russia should not even be allowed to participate with a different label (ROC) much less get their way flouting the doping rules. Russia has not changed it's ways and any "irreparable harm" would be caused by the ROC, not the IOC or WADO.

Matthieu Reeb: another corrupt Swiss sporting official. How much did Russia pay this guy?

Irreparable harm....to the IOC members' bank accounts is more like it.

Matthieu Reeb, CAS director general, said Monday preventing Valieva from competing would have caused her "irreparable harm".

I’m a bit confused here, isn’t “irreparable harm” to your sporting career supposed to be the result of failing a doping test?

Now claiming contamination from a drink of water that she shared with her grandad when taking his medicine.

It's a modified release film-coated tablet, so nothing would be present in grandad's mouth, even if he used the same glass to wash it down.

Only if he urinated in her glass between 7-12 hours afterwards, would some of the unchanged drug would be present!

Valieva was awesome at performance today, a sure gold for Russia..

Of courses she was - she's Russian and therefore doped.

Hmm ... let's see. Valieva tested positive in December, and tested NEGATIVE at the Olympic games in February. What is the half-life of that drug? Doubtful it effected her amazing performance. I hope she wins and sets another world record. She's the most talented ice skater that the world has ever seen.

WADA is a group of fanatics and some of the drugs on their lists have zero effect on performance. Recall Maria Sharapova? A WADA scapegoat. They add a drug before the Australian Open; know she's taking it; and notify her by email?? They should've sent a courier to her front door. And the drug had been proven to not be performance enhancing. Etc ...

And just how many undetectable drugs are in use? You can bet there are many.

Yet another opportunity missed by the IOC autocrats to throw Russia totally lock-stock-and-barrel out of the Olympics...... they are notorious cheaters, nothing more, nothing less. They shouldn't even be involved in the Games following previous drug-cheating scandals, so they allow them back as ROC, and guess what - they continue with their disgusting devious ways. Why can't they just play fairly ? It's not difficult.

The Olympics will never be able to get rid of drugs / doping issues whilst the filthy fat leaders of that organisation have their collective snouts deep in the trough.

Seems unrealistic and silly. One can only serve one “master”.
