Chinese organizers have confirmed participants in next year’s Winter Olympics will be strictly isolated from the general population

Which is also a proven and effective method for ensuring that the long-suffering Chinese people are not contaminated by evil corrupt foreign ideas and concepts. Like freedom.

You certainly cannot let your people mingle with the world, and learn for themselves just how little the Party and your dear Helmsman are respected by democratic institutions worldwide, can you? And how, by any reasonable standard, your government is - and will likely continue to be for the forseeable future - universally viewed as an undeniable large economic and military power whose clumsy use of weight and influence is unhinged and unjust. And a reckless growing threat to global peace and prosperity.

Better not make whoopie on the cardboard beds or you'll end up in a Xinjiang prison camp!

Nobody should participate in these games.

Video screens will be set up to tell the spectators when to cheer, when to wave flags and when to remain silent when a Japanese competitor wins.

They do have vpn and are interacting with the rest of the world. They are well aware of the tensions with democratic institutions.

Well, foreigners like you won't be allowed to anyway. Like Tokyo 2021, it will be closed off to gaijins. Good enough for Japan, then good enough for China. Not interested? Then don't watch. Simple.

Canada shouldn't go after what China did to the two David's.

This sounds like the same situation for the Tokyo Olympics. Why are people against China for doing the same thing?

China will only the foreigners what the CCP wants them to see. That's how totalitarian nations operate.

. Why are people against China for doing the same thing?

China wants to look good for the world. There will be parades, flower displays, girls skating around waving CCP flags to honor Mao the Killer Cow, and all that propagandic farce. Image and money.
