I totally misread the title, thinking "garbage" was being used as an adjective and was wondering wtf until I read the article.

They probably headlined it that way on purpose. Got me too. A few misleading and confusing headlines for articles on this site lately.

Olympic Games, during a pandemic. International air travel being a primary means of spreading the virus. Somewhat relevant: the CEO of American Airlines wants to allow unmasked passengers on AA flights, so testified before the U.S. Congress. With absolutely no comprehension or mention of the latest variant which is rapidly spreading across the globe. And. Once again, the Olympics during a pandemic. Surreal. And simply insane.

Like many others, I am not a fan of the Chinese dictator, but I think the Olympics are cool, for the most part. That said, the latest variants of Covid-19, Delta and Omicron, could be very, very problematic for the well-being of any unvaccinated involved in the Olympics, or living in China.
