It was embarassing that about 10% of the crowd left after the Rampage fight.

Rampage was just there for a payday. He looked tired and flabby. Also, none of the Japanese fighters apart from Hioki brought their A-game. The main event was robbery.

Jforce, I agree about everything except the part about the main event. That match was the best of the afternoon. Henderson is pretty gifted and Edgar showed he could dish with anyone. The crowd was applauding throughout the match.

Interesting, no Japanese wins when the event isn't "thrown" like some of the Prides. I guess we'll see if it continues...

No Japanese wins, unless you're not counting Issei Tamura in the non-televised first match, knocking they hell out of Tiequan Zhang, Riki Fukuda beating Steve Cantwell, Takanori Gomi beating Eiji Mitsuoka and Hatsu Hioki beating Bart Palaszewski. No Japanese wins at all...

Rampage had a knee injury which was hinted at in the pre-weigh-in interview and also in his comments post interview. You could see that he was having trouble walking coming out of the octagon and past the crowds on his way out.

Hioki looked really impressive. I look forwad to seeing where his talent and guts takes him next.
