Blatter says Japan could host 2019 Women's World Cup

Japan could pull it off. I'm just amazed that they were able to put together this under-20 world cup on such short notice (Japan was awarded it just this year in February).

Probably the only place FIFA could make money on women's soccer is in Japan. So it is smart to hold the tournament here. Moreover, Japan has some of the best soccer stadiums in the world scattered throughout the country. Also hope Japan does get it ... because then we can watch some of it on the telly.

Sorry... meant to add that it WOULD be great to see the women's WC played here.

Yeah, the sports are different, but the thing is getting one major international sporting event can interfere with getting another, and Japan often seems to want as many as it can get around the same time.
