Former NFL player Bob “The Beast” Sapp

It's awful generous to have that as his introduction when he only played in a single game... He was suspended for using steroids and, call me a cynic, I'm pretty sure he relies on them to remain relevant.

Forgot all about this idiot after I left Japan. Thanks for the memories JT!

Even though on the bench for two seasons (minus the one game), he had to go to practice!

I watched Bob Sapp being interviewed by Michael Irvin who asked him what position on the line he played. Bob Sapp replied that he "played the Ass-back, as in the coach yelling 'Where do you think you're going? Get your ass back here.'" One of Bob Sapp's former NFL coaches once said that the term, "looks like Tarzan but plays like Jane" was made for him. Interesting person, good at markeing but can only wonder at what cream puff they have lined up for him to fight.

Made millions of dollars? Yes!

I'd sell out in the exact same fashion as he did if I could make the money he did. Smart guy.

Take off that ridiculous red scarf.

Bob Sapp is one of my favorite celebrities on Japanese TV, and he conveys a positive image of the foreign community in Japan.

He comes across as intelligent, gracious and down to earth, and he seems to enjoy the different roles he plays.

OH snapp, he was on my recent flight to Seoul! I guess this is why he was on that flight. At first I was thinking "cool it's Bob Sapp" but he and his wife/girlfriend kept having loud arguments in the terminal from the business class Lounge strait onto the airplane (I'd rather not say what about, but it would be things I certainly wouldn't say loudly in public), it actually made me uncomfortable that I didn't even ask for a photo.

I disrespect anyone who plays into the Young General's game of pretending that North Korea is anything but a kleptocratic hellhole.

Yep - That's how he comes across in his biography...** **

@Mick_Hardwick

I hope you realize that The Japan Wanko is satire — a Japan-oriented version of The Onion.

Honestly, do these fools have any understanding of history and what the Norks represent? Stalin said there were "useful idiots" and I guess there still are.

" Sapp, who divides his time between Japan and his adopted hometown of Seattle, told The Associated Press he was familiar with the Rodman debacle but says he will steer as far away from controversy and politics as he can. It’s not clear if North Korean leader Kim Jong Un — whom Rodman serenaded with the birthday song — will attend the event. "

Well. Everything in NK is politics, and of course the litte fat tyrant will be there. I guess Sapp needs the money, but it is really pathetic.
