Oh oh, some hurt feelings north of thr border.

It's got to be frustrating though for canadians to not have an nhl city winner in thirty straight years.

Righto.
Avalanche have been on this path since January; TB, since pre-season.
Tampa just gets by in the regular season, and prepares for playoff hockey. I thought the Rangers would only win one game, but anything can happen.
Vasilevskiy is the best goalie in the league, and if he stays healthy, then Tampa wins it.
Avalanche have two of the strongest lines in the NHL, which otherwise, they would not have beaten Edmonton, which has two of the best players (and the overall best player) in the league.
So, even if one's team did not make it, this is a stellar pairing for the Cup, with Tampa Bay having beaten (swept) the team that had the best overall regular season record, and the Avalanche beating one of the most talent-laden teams.

I gave you a negative because what you wrote makes no sense and you're shouting with all your redundant posts on this thread.
Here are my first two comments as a refresher.
The first comment was an honest positive observation. In which a few people down voted which I thought was peculiar.
Then I made a second statement stating my bewilderment.
Randy JohnsonToday 03:26 pm JSTWow. Three years in a row. That is quite the accomplishment.

OMG. Down vote for a positive observation?
Then I thought, ah, ny rangers fans aren't happy. Then the thread continued and that didn't seem to be the case then I thought, Ah, yes, we know how canadians are sensitive about hockey so, yeah, that was an observation which serms to be correct because...
To quote you:
"Why would they be hurt? I'm sure most Canadians have made their pick for either team. I'm going with the Avs because I like their roster and the way they play. 50% of NHL rosters are Canadians anyway. Yeah...I'm sure they're hurt........."
Of which, that is factually incorrect in most of the nhl teams' cases.
Incidentally, Colorado's canadian roster is less than 50% and according to you, you picked them to win the Stanley Cup.

It's hockey, kids. Quit hating each other with your down-votes. It's juvenile behaviour. I like the sport enough to have season tickets, and I like it when my home team makes it into the playoffs. But, frankly, it's not life-changing. Go support your team, any one of them, but cut the crap hate comments aimed at someone you don't know. It's only sport.
And on that topic (of sport) my best friend is a Seattle Seahawks fan. I'm not. But I love the NFL game and haven't missed a single Super Bowl since that name was given to the ultimate end of the season. So, probably a lot older than you young bucks who fly off the handle.
I even watched the Maple Leafs win the Stanley Cup. Eek!!!

The Quebec comment was tongue in cheek.
Gotcha. Now I understand because the Quebec Nordiques in Quebec, Canada were an atrociously God awful team.
It makes sense that you have angst towards the Colorado Avalanche.
I remember the Avalanche vs Red Wing rivalry as you described.
It is frustrating from one's perspective.
Randy Johnson
Just because of the late 90's, early 2000's rivalry we had with the Avalanche. They're a great team, but I preferred Quebec, ha!
Sorry. In earnest, I don't understand.
Because they were the Nordiques?

Thank you for setting the record straight.

I’m a Red Wings fan, and I hope the best team wins.
The negative marks are interesting. I’m used to it but who could be doing it? Soccer fans? LOL.

One (1) Rangers fan attacked a (1) Lightnings fan, then the other Rangers fans came to help the Lightnings fan. That Rangers fan was arrested and banned for life at the stadium
This is how rumors start - when people didn't see it happen but then exaggerate as they pass along the news like a game of telephone
Here's the exact video the moment it happened:

As a Red Wings man, I hope the Lightning smash Colorado
I'm a fan of neither. May I ask why?
Randy Johnson
Sad.

Hopefully Kadri can come back from injury for the avs and Point can come back from injury for the bolts! Would make the series so much better.
Randy Johnson
Um. Wow. I'm flabbergasted. Seriously. All the negativity. For what? I'm legit curious.
Anybody want to add to the conversation other than the thumbs down. Seriously. Absolutely curious.
These are two balls-to-the-wall awesome teams.
Post at will folks.
Happy Day
NY is a cesspool. Their fans attacked Lightning fans in New York for no reason.
Randy Johnson
Anyhoo. The Avalanche vs Lighting Stanley Cup Series should be a good one.
Apparently there are hurt hockey feelings out there.
North of the border, perhaps?
Randy Johnson
Oh. Oh. I suspect there are ny rangers fans lurking in the jt swamp.
