Oh no!!! Four!! Like the keepers arms!!! should n't we lodge a formal complaint with the Brazilian team? And ask them how they could be so insensitive as to win and thus dispirit the Fukushima sufferers!!!!

It was painful to watch . . . . .J - Team could not keep up with the adroit footwork of the Brazillians !!!!! . . .the problem was - even when they had the ball they could not close the deal and score.

Glad they lost. If they'd won, we wouldn't hear the end of it for the next 3 weeks or something.

I wonder why people that haven't seen the game comment?

I can't say anything about the game with France but what I heard is Japan was struggling most of the time and were really lucky to use their only chance.

Last night game Japan tried to lead and had the initiative in most of the time. I saw good combinations and ideas that they always had problem creating. They tried hard but were punished and only can learn from their week points. Brazil is just too strong and its good Japan can play against such team. Nothing to be ashamed from!

Yeah, seriously Bogva. In terms of "naiyou" this game was better then the French game.

i saw this one. Simply put, the Japanese side was to slow, and they made many passing errors during thrier strategy executions. They had strategy, but they were way to slow to properly execute. The Brazilan defence was able ro reform its defence with ease, and it only attacked with a 4 man attack. Japan only used 1 at the top, the idea that they thought they could stop the the brazilian attack and score with Just Honda at the top, was fool hardy at best. NIce try though. Shinji Kagawa had a few good attempts. Honda looked exhausted; but the speed of rhe defence is what really stopped Japan. Kaka, Neymar ans the rest were really never challenged by the Japanese Defence, who were way to slow. Humility is a dish best served cold; so this shows them in no uncertain terms what they need to work on. Good luck Japan. I still think Italian-style football is the best model for Japan, however, you can take a horse to water, but you can't make him drink, so, I hope the Japan squad starts negotiating high elevation training facitiltes to boost their speed, because they just can't keep up right now.

The Brazilians showed that they are still among the best teams in the sport. So the outcome was as expected ... a good team rolling over a so-so team. When World Cup time rolls around in Brazil, the Brazilians will once again be out to show that they are not only great ... but also the best.

Japan played pretty well, but their defense looked sluggish and it was irritating to see so many missed or intercepted passes in mid-field.

I made this comment after Japan beat France, got a load of negative votes but guess this backed up what I said:

yildirayOCT. 13, 2012 - 01:56PM JST Lets not get too carried away... Japan is improving as a team, but they are still going to struggle to get past quarter-final stages of a major tournament when they cannot avoid one of the stronger teams.

This was a much-needed experience for Japan. Brazil were a different class, but I thought Japan's game plan was actually ok. They created a number of chances for Honda and Kagawa through some very nice intricate buildup from midfield, but they clearly lacked potency in front of goal. I hope this spurs them on to improve even further, and build on their good form recently.
