Cracking start to the season - some really superb games. Chelsea deserved both red cards. Liverpool always great to watch - will score loads but still can't defend.

Rooney was impressive for us. Some moments of real class. I must admit I was one of those who saw Rooney as a step backwards, but if he can carry on like that, I'll be happy to be proved wrong.

Agree jimizo, some very interesting results. Watched Liverpool & Chelsea games, surely Klopp will reconsider his position on Sakho? Not the most technical CD but he brings cm/kg/energy the Reds were lacking in defence last night. Same with Palace, still don't get why they haven't signed him yet, the bloke was instrumental in last season's revival.

Re Cahill's red card, not what you expect from your captain on day 1, how silly was that. Willian had a decent game but chelsea's just aren't the same team without hazard (and without a proper 9. Morata has to start next round).

Really good games, so happy about the Arsenal result but defending is a fairly big problem. Chelsea's disintegration was hilarious and thoroughly deserved
