Grande Pato! If he wasnt Argentinean, there would be a couple of stories inspired by his life. He was a caddy from a poor family living near a golf course. He was born and raised in a small town in the middle of the country, which in a very strange case nurtured 2 top golf players (what are the chances that in a 20,000 people town 2 of them become the top Argentinean players). In Argentina, golf is for the rich people, so his career is more remarkable for being poor and allowed to play when the course closes. Nacho

The "Boy Price" went home humbled, but Katayama truly accredited himself well. You never felt he was actually going to win, but he played great golf. Hat's off (no pun intended) to him.

A great tourney. But why was Katayama wearing so many Japanese flags (one on his hat, one on the back of his shirt)? Was the Japanese government one of his sponsors?

Katayama was refreshing after that geeky Ishikawa...kid needs someone to teach him about charisma. So glad he missed the cut so we could get some kind of decent tv coverage for a change.

larquero...nice post. Good job Cabrera. It goes to show persistence pays. And Katayama....three cheers for you for hiding under that radar shining on Ishikawa all during the lead up and during the first two days.Feel sorry for Imada...."Elsewhere for Japan, Ryuji Imada had four birdies and a bogey for a 69 and a share of 20th place"....this is all he got in the media. Man!!!! 20th in the Masters.....very good job.
