Canadiens inch closer to the 30 medal mark they set for themselves. How many left?

Great game! Canada is all warmed up now. Bring on the Swedes. And hopefully a re-match against the Americans!

Wow, didn't see that coming. Was fun seeing Russia implode throughout the game though. Outclassed every step of the way.

They will have to settle for silver. USA! USA! USA!

Followed this one 'live' on the internet.... which is to say no video, but play by play commentating and up to date scoring, etc. Pretty exciting all the same. Hope they keep up that sort of passion for the next day and don't let it get to their heads.

As I said before, the prelims matter not a-tall. Canada bounced back in thorough fashion against the Russians, and handed them their kiesters. This is making for a fine ice hockey tourney...

Bring on the Slovaks. They just upset Sweden 4-3.
Looking forward to a Canada Finland final with Slovakia taking the bronze :)

Yes...the Slovaks played tough and they deserved the win. Good to see Pavel Demitra playing a great game in front of his 'hometown'. Canada needs to repeat their performance against a tough Slovak team.

Where are you all watching these games. It seems since Japan is no good at hockey, they don't bother showing it on TV?
marushka
congrats to canada:) i didnt watch the game, but i have been told that Canada was playing like USSR in their best time. and for Russians it was really a shame. Final Canada vs USA?

Go Slovakia! It is going to be a great game against Canada! Hope they will show at least semis&finals in our lame japanese tv ! In my opinion, ice hockey is the most popular sport in winter olympics so they should show us at least bit of it.

I was surprised that Canada beat Russia 7-3. I do not think that was expected.
Watching live on the internet... A little hit and miss, but you can get lucky...

I screwed up the setting on my HDD. Baka!! But at least they won. And I won`t screw up the semi final. But Slovakia? More than a bit surprised. I was sure Sweden would win.

They're at 15 (7 Gold, 6 Silver, 2 Bronze) as of this post.
I'm hoping for a U.S. v. Canada for the gold. I'm from Detroit so hockey is practically the only sport I can watch without feeling ill.

What a game Canada! My boys are finally back on tracks and on their way to gold medal!
BTW, free live streams of most olympic events can be found here

The site is in french, but they stream some english channels there. But I don't know if the site streams if you are not located in Canada.
