Doesn’t sound like they have kind of financial clout we see at at City and Newcastle.

Oil sheiks along with theocratic state money is the future.

These bottom feeders aren’t up to it.

A consortium led by Boehly, a co-owner of baseball's Los Angeles Dodgers, had already agreed a record £4.25 billion ($5.3 billion) deal to buy the Premier League club from Abramovich on May 7.

This is amazing--the number of US owned soccer clubs. And as we have seen this year with Liverpool, those US owned teams flourish.

These bottom feeders aren’t up to it.

Sounds like wounded provincialistic pride. Compared with Major League Baseball in the US, no US based team is foreign owned.And US teams in the four major sports are the most successful financially.

So this US ownership of UK clubs will benefit those teams and their fan bases tremendously. The financial clout is already demonstrated by the price paid.
