Hanyu looks off his game as of late. Looks really nervous about taking risks and keeps it simple! Even Jason Brown looked more adventurous than him and executed his jumps perfectly! Nathan Chen seems to be on fire and unbeatable! The crowd seemed disappointed that Hanyu didn’t win and didn’t show the appreciation that Nathan Chen deserved on this occasion...poor spectators as I expected better from the Japanese! This used to be a sport of supporting fantastic performance rather than home country favorites! In this event Chen and Hanyu were miles apart as far as performance is concerned but yet the scores seemed rather too close...lol ! Hanyu certainly has the ability to do much better and win easily if he puts in more passion and more extraordinary jumps as he used to do so in the past!

As much as I enjoy watching Hanyu on ice, everytime I see him I remember that one time he nearly threw a proper hissy fit over not getting first place and only ending up on second. As far as I can remember he didn't do that well in the Stockholm championship either, so hope he can recuperate soon.

Nathan Chen, brilliant as always.

This is exactly why the Olympics are going to be even more unfair to foreign competitors. The only thing that's missing now is preventing more and more foreign athletes from coming to Japan, then that will really up the number of medals going to the host country.

So many housewives going home in tears. Wouldnt want to be their husband under the best conditions, gonna be an extra cold reception coming home from a 10hr shift to pay for the ticket and merch

Great idea to hold this event in the centre of the pandemic in Japan, Osaka.

Lets Not have an outdoor torch relay but let’s have an indoor event by all means

makes sense

I suspect Hanyu is in the twilight of his magnificent career.

Injuries and age have taken their toll; 26 is upper middle age in the world of figure skating. Nathan Chen is at his peak now and will stay that way for a few more years at least.
