Fighto!
Congrats to Los Ticos and gaffer Luis Fernando Suárez on their narrow to clinch the 32nd and final spot in Qatar.
Commiserations to the All Whites who put up a brave and competitive show. With Oceania guaranteed a full place in 2026 as opposed to a play-off, the qualification road should be that bit easier for the All Whites.
Welcome to the Qatar party, Los Ticos! See you in November!

Incompetent inexperienced UAE referee out of his depth, surely FIFA could have found someone superior? Qataris on the VAR? oh, wait, yeah FIFA got the team they wanted in the finals. Costa Rica are going to get pumped by Spain and Germany. The World Cup should be on right now if it were being held in a truly deserving host country.

Looks like CR will be out fairly soon, but congratulations.
Costa Rica has about 5M people. Every village in Costa Rica has 2 things
1) a church
2) a soccer field
They love lots of things, but soccer is much loved.
Pura Vida!

Poor New Zealand had a bad night -
they lost the football & the cricket

FIFA World Cup events are a familiar terrain for Costa Rica veterans Borges, Ruiz, and Keylor. Well played CR. Be it international cricket, hockey, rugby, or football, the Kiwis do well in team sports. A small population of just over 5 million inhabitants but are blessed with an awesome appetite for team sports. All the best to the Black Caps in their sporting endeavors.

Why do you always post similar type posts for football?
Always know the nickname of the team, the name of the manager, and always call him gaffer.
It's a bit odd
