Yet another reason to not watch the Olympics.

Another absolutely enormous sport that already has 3 different world cups/Championships. Not sure why cricket needs to tag along to the Olympics - ditto golf, soccer and tennis. All billion dollar enterprises in their own right.

Wonderful news!

The second most popular sport on earth should have been included decades ago.

Civility in the circus at last we can hope.

The International Cricket Council's proposal is for men's and women's Twenty20 competitions -- the shortest form of the international game.

That's what the non-cricket loving world and some of the cricket loving world will have patience for anyways.

For purists though, test cricket is where heroes are made. And that a single test match can go on for 5 days and still not produce a result is something that the non-cricket playing world will never understand.

Doesn’t it take like three days to play a game? Not sure that’s gonna fly

The article made it clear that the T20 format would be employed.

A T20 cricket match lasts about 2.5 hours. 120 balls (or ‘pitches’) per team.

It’s pretty high paced.

Can’t wait to see the Barrmy Army in LA.

Don’t get your hopes up. The host city has a say in the program. Doubt many in LA will want cricket. Just like the Brits didn’t want baseball and kicked it off the program for London.

I couldn't agree more.

This should appeal to the folks who think baseball is too fast-paced.

The let golf in to bore people to death so why not this? If it works out breath taking sports like watching grass grow or watching paint dry could be in with a chance.

Americans who can't get the hang of cricket can think of it as a smarter and more intelligent version of baseball.

But they should not be worried about baseball losing the popularity contest to cricket.

Baseball will always be the world's most popular sport. Going from first base to second base to third base and then home run all the way, if you know what I mean.
