Once batters figure him out....he won't be so hot.

He's finding out that he is no longer pitching in the Japanese cream cake league....

But it's all because the Americans' rules aren't fair. He can't play catch whilst his side is batting. If only he could, then he'd show them Yanks who's boss...He needs to watch the ball in the hair move. Have you got some mousse in that mane, mate? Put it in the glove, then scratch yer head.

This sport is just as weak in the US as in Japan. He'll thrive eventually.

Lighten up. It's only a preseason. Darvish is working on different pitches and learning the new system. Nobody in the Rangers organization is worried about him. He has great pitching coach, Mike Maddux, who was a pitching coach for six seasons with Brewers. He is a older brother for Hall of Fame pitcher Greg Maddux who won over 300 games in his career. He is a good teacher and Darvish will do fine when the season begins.

Get ready for game three: the game where Japanese commentators look for excuses and differences about the strike zone! It'll be 10 minutes of excuses about Darvish then a few minutes about world issues.

Belittling the hits that good players have gotten against him so far, as he has in postgame interviews, will give those players even more motivation when they face him during the regular season. And the Rangers may not be as good this season in spite of signing Darvish, given how other teams in their division have reloaded.
