Great job Yu!

And Ohtani's 6 earned runs on the 7th inning against Atlanta. He did have 11Ks though. He was doing so well before the 7th inning (1 hit). Angels should move him as they won't be able to afford him when he becomes FA after next year.

Ohtani was pitching so well. He pitched 6 innings without giving up a run with 11 strikeouts, and then the seventh inning came around and everything fell apart. Did he run out of gas or was it just bad luck? Not sure, but his first six innings were fantastic.

Glad to see Darvish in the news again! I think Otani is great, but Darvish has been overshadowed by Otani for too long! I remember when Darvish was the center of attention.

My take is that Ohtani was not having great control last night. Even though he was pitching a one-hitter, and at one point had thrown like 45 strikes and 16 balls--maybe 11 or so of those strikes were actually balls that the batters chased. Braves were swinging at fastballs up and out of the zone, or low and away.

He threw fewer fastballs than usual through 6, and so in that situation, when you are not hitting the slider or split, the batter waits for the fastball over the plate, which is what happened in the 7th with the Braves first homer.
