There are several professional Golf Tours worldwide already (ie Japan Golf Tour). PGA is not a monopoly. Some players simply go where the money is especially if they are no longer in their prime.

I was just going to say those two things.
And might I add, the so-called defectors haven't been winning of late and or finishing high on the leaderboards on the PGA tour so they are making a last ditch effort to win some heafty money before they reach the senior tour.
