Go the Eagles!

Another great team effort from the eagles, can't wait for Saturday's game! The giants look tired, old and unfit this series..

C'mon Tanaka - get it done like you've been getting it done! Nice to see Andruw Jones relevant again. He was a very good player for a long time.

GO EAGLES ! ! ! Good on Andruw Jones. Perhaps he is "relevant again" because he is in Japan ?

Not sure what the country has to do with it. His numbers had dropped off in recent years, partly due to injuries and partly due to natural career decline. And partly to do with playing for the Yankees, where formerly good players go to disintegrate in the spotlight. He had a great career with Atlanta, though.

I should have been more clear about Jones and Japan. I meant he, like numerous other former MLB stars, seems to have chosen to end it all in Japan. And you are right, he had a stellar career with the Braves.

In no way do I claim to know anything particularly relevant about baseball, nevertheless I found myself wondering why - in the top of the 10th inning with one out in a tied game - the Eagles had their pitcher on 2nd base and an injured batter on 1st base. Was this some sort of super secret strategy? It worked so it MUST have been the right thing to do.
