Quite honestly, who cares Elon Musk does?

It is football, not soccer, and a league, not a chart.

Elon Musk tweets he is 'buying Manchester United'

Why not? Most of the league is foreign-owned anyway.

He is not serious.

Musk said he is not buying the club and it is only a standing joke.

another (boring, rich) American that wants to kill European football; nothing new. but what’s funny is that he’s not even being serious which makes United look like the most ridiculous club in the world right now.

Try fulfilling the promises you’ve already made, and apparently forgotten about, Elon. Cybertruck, robot taxis, self driving cars (that don’t kill people), people on Mars, Twitter, underground tunnel transport etc. etc. He’s just trying to avoid his homework, like most teenagers.

Hard to believe after his Twitter storm in a cup, but he could be no worse than the current owners the Glazer family.

Man Utd’s owners built a ‘toxic culture’ that destroyed a giant in a $1.4bn demise. Legends are fed up so are their fans.

Will all the players and staff get red Teslas?

This is what happens when a business person doesn’t follow the PC line … He/She will get vilified by “sheep.”

This guy changes his mind more than his underwear! Needs to take a twitter holiday me thinks...

all that despite the preferential treatment the current administration gives to Ford and GM.

Did you see, they raised their prices nearly the same amount as the tax break amount?

but yet-

"The price hike was 'completely unrelated' to Democrats' inflation bill, a GM spokesperson tells FOX Business"

But it is related to the Biden led inflation, if not his inflation "bill".

....and I'm buying Japan

Far from a Man U fan, but I feel sorry for their real, lifelong fans who have to put up with egomaniac businessmen owning and trying to own this famous club. Shocking owner-management is why the club is in such a dire situation. Hopefully this snake-oil salesman stays well away from the EPL.

I was hoping this guy was going to Mars to build cities and start a new life there. Man U. fans, good luck to you.

If I were a shareholder in a thriving but financially under-performing company like twitter (and thank you Jesus, I am not), THIS is the steady hand I would want on the till to guide us through turbulent times to profitiability.

(Please Jesus, let the sarcasim be apparent.)

Musk can Tweet that his booty is on fire and he enjoys the smooth rich aroma of it and it'll get reported on. Put a moratorium on reporting this guy, will you?

If this fails to keep him in the news then he will announce he is buying the Ukrainian army and going to supply them with attack drones.

Seriously dude take your spaceship and leave earth and never come back!

the world doesn’t need you

just leave all your money here for support of climate change, global warming, poverty etc

In a couple of weeks he’ll complain that they misled him about the number of fans they have and try to back out of the deal.

Musk's inspiration Iain Banks was was interested in how being a Player of Games was in some way central to the human condition. Even in a far flung future.

But personally he was a fan of the Greenock Morton Football Club.

Until he backs out.

Testing the waters via tweet...

Just as you think Man Utd can't get more ridiculous

6 ( +9 / -3 )

Go away, Elon. Take your overpromised and underdelivered Tesla EV's with you too.

2 ( +11 / -9 )

Not even Jesus can save this arrogant club from the depth they are still going down. Their fans deserve it.
