I honestly don't know who will win between Canada and England. England seems to have the better game, to be honest, but as we've seen it's impossible to predict.

Congrats to England. US women lead Columbia 2-0!! It's a good game-

The US is doing just enough to win, and that usually doesn't bode well when the competition increases.

True. But hey, its Soccer . . . The world (let alone americans) doesn't expect us to win. So I'll take a sloppy win any day of the week just for them to reach qrtrfinals. See what happens. Hopefully China won't beat them up too bad.

i'll take a win any day of the week. here's hoping for a US-Japan final with the US pulling it out.

A lot of the wins have been BARELY wins so far, with really only Germany and France putting in solid wins (Brazil too, in the first round).

Smith. Are the Chinese favored in the upcoming match Fri. vs US?

@Wc626 I guess you are not so familiar with women's soccer. The world DOES expect us to win. The U.S. team is perhaps the most successful in international women's soccer, winning two Women's World Cup titles and four Olympic women's gold medals. It was ranked No. 1 in the FIFA Women's World Rankings continuously from March 2008 to December 2014.

@Sue. Thankx for skooling me. . . I didn't think they would be the favorite's on Fri. cause ESPN noted that two key US players would be missing the match.

@nakanoguy01 keep hoping, maybe head for church too, either germany or usa(most likely germany) will eat a good 4-0 from japan. japan is hungry for hard games bc so far the world cup for japan has been a big cake with small slices to take. the last one on the finals will be the cherry to eat for sasaki :D

@Wc626 Regardless of the US past prowess, it will be difficult for them with the 2 starters out, especially Rapinoe, and they haven't looked very good in offense so far. Japan doing well. I'm hoping for a Japan US final. Win win situation as far as I'm concerned.

I guess a lot of people really don't watch Women's soccer, because if they did, they would know that. If Mia Hamm were still playing, it wouldn't even be a doubt.
