Manny Ramirez in Shikoku... wow! Might need to go check that out.
However, I am not quite sure "comeback" is the right word to use in this context. No disrespect to the Kochi Fighting Dogs or anything, but....

Yeah, I agree. Calling this a "comeback" is a bit of a stretch. Now maybe if it was with the Lions...

Shikoku's Independent League has an extremely low salary so this is only a move for the love of the game. However, those who do well in the league actually get picked up by an NPB team.
I have to keep checking their website because I would love a Manny T-shirt. The Kochi T-shirts always sell out quickly.

Is this how to say "Manny being Manny"? When he was with the Red Sox he was one of the greatest hitters when he applied himself... At the end of his career with them, he didn't do that so often. I bet he wish he had those years back.

Manny Ramirez in rural Shikoku.
You couldn't make it up if you tried. Somebody make a movie about this please.

is that like a combination of a beer and farm team?

Go get 'em Manny !

He was an excellent hitter but Dodgers got rid of him because of his weird drug use. Maybe he might stop his drug habit by Shikoku walking to visitzuchiyama Reijou.
