Most F1 one guys are tiny men, like jockeys, so Norris would have been an easy target for a crim.

The "security" at that even was laughable from all the footage Ive seen. Scared looking men in hi-vis vests standing still while chaos and violence ensued all around.

The police stood back and let most of the trouble happen.

Contrast with any non-drunken protest, like Extinction Rebellion or Black Lives Matter. Or worst of all, that vigil (vigil!) held held for the woman raped and murdered on her way home by an off-duty police officer. At that vigil, police forced women holding candles to the ground and put their knees in their backs.
