Applause to these men. You can be for something without being pushed into a collective dichotomy.

A particular delicious malapropism today. Gochisousama deshita!

Right you are Comrade! Hamilton should burn a flag next time. Kimi Raikonnen can burn the stupid t shirt hes forced to wear.

Just change the ‘should’ to ‘can’ in the second sentence, and you’ve got it!

Well done!

I think it’s easier just to answer simple questions honestly, but hey, that’s tough for some.

Oh here we go.

All you need to do is post if you agree or disagree with throwing people into jail for burning flags.

As someone who believes in freedom of thought, I think taking a knee as a form of political protest is acceptable and there should be no penalty for doing this or not doing this.

As someone who believes in freedom of thought, I also think burning a flag as a form of of political protest is acceptable ( as long as it’s your flag ) and there should be no penalty for doing this or not doing this.

It’s a non-partisan thing and a belief in freedom of expression.

It seems you are having trouble with this idea.

Oh here we go.

Exactly. But the lefties love this. Everybody conforming, everybody phony.

Any opinion on throwing people into jail for burning flags? You avoided this and posted about globalists and Pol Pot.

Surely you wouldn’t accept people forcing or pressuring ideological conformity from the right while attacking the excesses of the left in this regard?

That would be the height of hypocrisy.

Unfortunately it isn't about their feelings, they have to do it to keep up with sponsors. The person who decides to not support this cause will be considered a "racist" and sponsors will pull their support. That is the society we are living in.

Good post.

Whether it’s the threat of losing cash and being labeled a racist for not following the correct political line or the appalling idea of being jailed for burning a flag, this very sinister, creeping authoritarianism from both sides has to be called out.

Unfortunately, too many partisans can’t see it and start throwing caricatures around.

For me, nobody should be forced or pressured to take a knee in this situation or any for any other political cause. A detect a hint of authoritarianism here.

sorry! I’ll continue..

I don’t like authoritarianism of any political stripe.

I hope you see the hypocrisy here from some on the left and the right. I’m sure you have no time for such hypocrisy.

Atra boy, complete globalization - no more nations. But hey, why still have competition? Lets do it properly and do away with the races too - it only sows division and stands in the way of our beautiful Pol Pot world.

I don’t know who you are addressing here. I don’t believe that.

For me, nobody should be forced or pressured to take a knee in this situation or any for any other political cause. A detect a hint of authoritarianism here.

In the same way, nobody should be forced or pressured to salute a flag or be told what they can and can’t do with that flag for a political cause. I detect a hint of authoritarianism here too.

I don’t like authoritarianism by any

Most of the so-called support was straight phony anyway. Lewis, keep doing your thing!

0 ( +1 / -1 )

@Jimizo:  patriotic nonsense like the idea that flags should be saluted or treated as if they are sacred.

Bend the knee.

Or else...

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Its probably going to become like hollywood where various drivers management comes up with a pet “cause” to keep them in the public eye. - sponsorship is vital to F1 drivers. How tiresome. Meanwhile the clueless “progressives” celebrate the “freedom” that the millionaires display.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

So now if you DON'T kneel, you'll make headlines. Isn't the shirt enough?

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Is this the new thing? Is Hamilton’s “take the knee for BLM stunt going to take place before every race now or was it just a one-off stunt? Surely for consistency it has to be a fixture of every race. And why not on the podium too: accept the trophy ( or better yet refuse to ) and take the knee. Now we’re talking, Lewis!

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Nobody should be forced or pressured to follow this kind of protest. Freedom of conscience is vital. I hope there aren’t any hypocrites who think freedom of conscience shouldn’t be extended to patriotic nonsense like the idea that flags should be saluted or treated as if they are sacred.

Hope we have consistency here. I’ve come across stunning hypocrisy on this point.

Hamilton was clearly in the wrong in that crash.

Motor Racing

The race itself was really exciting for a number of reasons. I think the stewards were extra harsh on Lewis, though. A 'racing incident,' he said afterwards, and I agree. Mercedes should appeal, IMHO.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Ok, that’s over & done with, now let’s get back to racing.

Something Hamilton may need to concentrate on a bit more considering his efforts yesterday

Quote: "Hamilton, who knelt alongside Sebastian Vettel"... does not accord with what we see in the photo.

Silence is said by some to mean complicity, so I will just say that racism is something that we all need to face and deal with somehow, on an individual level, whoever we are. When someone judges you solely on your skin tone, it is an unpleasant feeling as they are ignorantly or deliberately blocking off your soul.

Attempt at forced political activism. Not much different from fascist ideology, is it?

12 ( +15 / -3 )

Glad to see people not willing to give in to the PC cancel culture mob. Applause to these men. You can be for something without being pushed into a collective dichotomy.

16 ( +20 / -4 )

I notice they also made sure to list the names of the non kneelers to get the social media cancel culture engine revved up.

10 ( +14 / -4 )

With this cheap stunt and the silly t-shirt schtick Formula1 just entered the fake world of entertainers.

12 ( +18 / -6 )

Kudos to the drivers that didn’t kneel too. I would resent being told or pressured to do something like that.

Exactly. And showboater Hamilton criticizing the non-kneelers as “not understanding properly”. Its he and his fellow useful idiot kneelers that dont understand.

16 ( +21 / -5 )

Because they didn’t want to kneel? Jeez, these PC warriors who say they defend people’s rights and yet complain when someone wears a dumb tshirt but domestic want to kneel.
