I've just read the British police say that shortly after this Testarossa was stolen in 1995, it was shipped to Japan where it spent the majority of the past 3 decades. Absolutely no proof that it was a Japanese syndicate that was behind the theft, just an interesting background story.

I remember seeing Gerhard at the Pacific Grand Prix that year, 1995, and his voice as he was interviewed live over the circuit speakers. Hoping he's well enough to drive the car!
