Proof that FIFA is a corrupt organisation absolutely not interested in running soccer in a fair manner and totally open to political bribery. It is beyond me how they find time to make a visit to the White House whilst not visiting all of the US facilities.
Proof that FIFA suddenly turns blind in the face of abuses of human rights (of it's own Chinese people) and abuses of international borders (Tibet).

If the Beijing Olympics is any sign, good luck to visiting fans if there's a World Cup in China. There won't be any Tweets, no Youtube, no uploading to blogs, no fan web interaction, etc. Those would be censored or outright banned. It wouldn't be as much fun and as much instantaneously sharing with fans who couldn't make it to the World Cup (unlike much of the Olympics, people can't wait for the WC results).
And a sudden influx of millions of foreigners traveling all over the place? The authorities wouldn't like that. Unlike the Olympics where everyone is pretty much all in the same place, the World Cup is split into 8 or more cities. The international news reporters would have a field day.
In short, the strict organization would be OK for the teams, but it wouldn't be as much fun for the fans.
