Nope. It would dilute the quality.
I’ve come across compelling arguments that the expansion is geared towards getting China into the tournaments on a regular basis - about 1.4 billion potential viewers.
Maybe you could call for a boycott if that happens.
Not the point.
The clubs pay the wages week-in, week-out. I don’t want players from my club increasing their risk of serious injury.

All for the money. Sporting ruling bodies eventually all go this way.
Fighto!
Hoping this plan gets approved. Would be fabulous to watch the World Cup of 48 nations every 2 years! I know others disagree, but watching International soccer is the ultimate, far more appeal than meaningless Europa League tournaments, for example. Probably less money for the European confederation if it goes ahead, but money shouldnt be the main consideration. Just my opinion.
Good. Even if the EU and South America band together, they likely cannot block this proposal.

If that be the case, then do away with the continental qualifers and hold a world cup with all 211 countries taking part. Of course we it isn't the case and FIFA like the corrupt IOC is interested in making more money,

As if the footballers don't play enough matches already (i.e. a top footballer in england has to play EPL, EFL cup, FA cup, UCL/Europa and then international duty which includes UEFA Nations league and world cup/euros qualifications)... they are not robots! leave the world cup as is - every 4 years!

A world-cup every two years would lessen interest by half, if not more.

FIFA World Cup? More like greed-fa world cup

FIFA would then have to stage the new World Cup without Europe and South America every other year
Fighto!
No problem. They can make themselves unavailable for international tournaments. Some players do this if playing for their club means more than for their nation. Their choice.
Its true that most of the money comes in from club football. But theres an argument that the inflated wages are too much anyway these days, and that and the size of these clubs makes them too powerful.
If China earn their place in the World Cup, fair play to them. But I cant see it happening unless they are hosting it themselves!
