Hmmm too risky for me. 16 automatically qualified for WC group stages isn't enough.

Many 'big' nations would play their WC spot over 90min against teams that have nothing to lose and would play the game of their lives. If Infantino wants to involve more nations then have 8 play offs for teams ranked 25 to 40, 8 winners join the 24 already qualified.

16 is just too few I.e 3-4 south am, 2 concacafs, 6-7 euros, 2 asians and 2 africans perhaps? Just too hard to make the 16.

Once football was passion game. Now is just big business. Once footballer was good profession. Now the most famous get mind boggling money but barely have any holidays. As a viewer I'm not sure if I want to see more games. I would like see less but more quality teams for sure (even if that means my home country will never qualify)!

Japan have done pretty well in World Cups considering the professional league here is only a couple of decades old. Reaching the knockout stages of a World Cup twice in the last five tournaments is respectable. For me, that is a greater achievement than doing well in a sport which very few countries play and which the vast majority of the planet couldn't care less about.

They have deserved to be there every time and given their supporters a lot to shout about. Good enough.

Stupid, pointless idea that has nothing to do with sport. The only thing that'll make the World Cup interesting again, and Champions League come to that, is if they abandon the seeding system.

Jimozo must be British, getting to the knockout stage is considered a major achievement.
