This idea can do one.

Every two years is overkill.

Great! More quality football games and less boring friendlies where nothing much is at stake. The clubs don't like it because of commercial interests, which is understandable. But, ultimately, the fans and the players will benefit. For instance, I don't care about club football - I cannot bring myself to have allegiance to a business, so I only have the opportunity to enjoy football during the European Championship or the World Cup. Bring it on!

Sounds like a good idea. Twice as many chances to win, twice as much revenue for the Confederations, and 2 years less wait between WCs for fans!

Hope this gets implemented.

Every two years sounds like a great idea!

Twice as many bribes to be earned by FIFA officials.

Cool. If Coe dislikes it, excellent!

You don’t need allegiance. Just enjoy the game.

Are you more comfortable with a notoriously corrupt organisation than with a ‘business’?

I think you may be approaching this from the angle I’ve heard from some other Aussies who seem to be under the bizarre impression that country is more important than club.

Football is about clubs first. That’s the bread and butter. People pay their hard-earned cash to watch their teams over a long season.

International football is window dressing that often interferes with club football. Keep it to a minimum. Dump meaningless friendlies, have a World Cup every 4 years along with regional tournaments every 4 years.

More than enough.

So you're not a football fan at all then.

Soccer isn’t so great that I would want to watch the WC every two years.

Make it too frequent and it will surely cheapen it for the players too.

They have noted how the IOC make large sums of money every two years, and want to do the same.

It's not sport, it's business.
