Just because foreign women were tolerated in Qatar does not change the reality women are merely tokens and certainly not on the same level as men there.

Why hasn't Qatar, with all its wealth, ever applied to host the Women's Asian Cup - or the Women's World Cup? Don't hold your breath for them to do so.

Qatar is allowing this because they just want to present a positive image, a happy face and to draw in foreign money. That's it.

Qatar as the same problem of Japan, the gender parity is awful (Japan ranking 120, Qatar 141)

Should follow the exemple of South Arabia (ranking 72 now, before 120).

Seems it is a big party and the locals are getting along, even if they don't really like it.

Noticed that Iranian women at the USA vs Iran match were 20% covered and 80% wearing western clothes. Hope they don't get into trouble back in Iran for being immodest on TV.

I HOPE more Iranians see that on TV. Keep up the rebellion momentum! It's time to topple the oppressive totalitarian fanatic regime of Iran and end the BS.
