Glorious work, France, in such a symbolic match. Viva la France! Et maintenant, a la finale!!!!

Great to see the two best teams as well as the fairest teams in the final. At least they won’t be blaming the referees if they lose like some of the other teams have.

Well played les Bleus. Deservedly favourites to go back-to-back, which would be an extraordinary achievement, and mark them as one of the greatest teams ever.

Big up to the brave Atlas Lions of Morocco. Their incredibly mean defence through this WC just wasnt good enough for the champs. An unforgettable tournament they have had, an historical achievement for Africans. They have won the hearts of football fans everywhere!

I guess you didn't watch any Argentina games.

After the goal, we could finally see how good Morocco really is; and, yes, they’re good, better than I was expecting tbh, but not that good; you’re delusional if you think Morocco is a better team than Spain and Portugal; anyway, France, w/ the early goal, was able to control the score and the game. Congratulations, France*(!); Good luck for the final, you’ll need to be careful with Mr. Penalty. *

studies showed that (on paper) the best team was Brazil(!), followed by France and Portugal. France is a better team and if they’re not bothered by… um… “external forces”, everyone expects them to win the final but hey, this is football, right?

Great achievement by Morocco to reach the semis but I don’t think too many will miss that style of football.

France clearly the better side and deserved to go through.

Allez les bleus!!

I feel sorry for all the Moroccan soccer moms.

France wasn't at their best today either but similar to when it steamrolled England, it kept its game plan intact.

I remember listening to ex-pros who played against Argentina sides in the past and many commented on their spirit of winning by any means. The Argentina sides of the 1960s were absolutely vicious by the accounts I’ve read. I remember one story of an Argentinian player wearing his national shirt under his club shirt in training.

I haven’t come across too many neutrals who like Argentina’s approach, but when you have that spirit and produce incredible talent ( Kempes, Maradona, Batistuta, Messi etc. ) it makes them very tough.

Anyway, looking forward to the World Cup final. Best sporting event on the planet. No other sport within a mile of this.

Footage just coming in of furious Moroccans rioting in Paris, Nice and Belgium. Not cool to be bad losers, guys, after the wonderful Cinderella Story of The Atlas Lions. Being drunk and disappointed is no excuse.

Be grateful your team did so well to make the Best 4 - show a tiny bit of morality and decency.

It was a great match between two good teams respecting each other, no trash talking or fakes....

BTW what's wrong with so many down votes on honest congralutation comentaries? Referees and team were good, France didn't steal its victory last night.

Allez les bleus pour une troisième étoile!

The Atlas Lions versus Croatia could be yet another thriller to come. Morocco has scored memorable wins against higher ranked Portugal, Spain, and Belgium. Les Bleus were well served by the hardworking Hugo Lloris, Antoine Griezmann, Kylian Mbappé, and their team mates. Well played Morocco and well played France.

Congrats to both teams for making it this far, Good luck Sunday it will be a hell of a game I'm sure.

France is the most pro-Qatar country in Europe. The government actively lobbied for Qatar to get chosen to host the World Cup and the main sporting broadcaster in France is owned by Qatar (beIn Sports). Corruption not football.

You think they’ll listen to your pretty words(?)

smh

and what’s with all the downvotes to my previous post(?); was just stating facts but I guess people don’t like to hear the truth. Looking forward to the game. ( O _ O )

Morocco were exciting to watch. I've not seen a team play with that kind of sheer desperation to win for a long time, it was enthralling. France were too good though, defensively extremely professional. Griezmann has been incredible for them. They were also extremely gracious in victory and very sporting to the Moroccans - something than Argentina clearly know nothing about. As a neutral, I want the French to win it.

They were doing that even after their wins. Just low-class.

"Riots erupt across France" reports the Sun.

What a crazy, mixed-up world we live in when a victory by your home team triggers anger and violence among significant numbers of local people.

Messi and Mbappe

Club teammates. Champion of South America vs. Champion of Europe. Current top player of his generation vs. upcoming top player of his generation

Last hurrah or turning of the page?
