Covid-19 is going to negatively affect everyone. Soccer sponsors are not immune. Now is the time for them to become creative and adjust their business models. Good luck to everyone suffering out there.

Good thing because those players get paid way more than they deserve. It is time people started thinking about what roles sports should really play in our lives.

It is ok to have pro sports leagues, but the business and its value has always been so overrated that some kids even say their DREAM is to be pro athletes.

Kids should play sports just to stay healthy and have more fun. They should never be judged on their ball handling skills. Now is a great time to teach that to your sons and daughters.

Not all professional players earn super player wages. There are hundreds who don't some even earning very little.

In the English leagues there are more than 2,500 professional players and the majority do not earn super wages.

Exactly my point. We should teach our kids that it is STRANGE even a few player earn super wages just because they can handle a soccer ball more skillfully.

Also, those top soccer players would never get the same level of respect from the public if they weren’t earning money. They are adored quite often just because they are wealthy.

The corona virus panic musta been a good wake-up call for those pro athletes about how useless their skills are in a real battle.

Of course they do. I love football. I wish I’d been good enough to make money doing something I love. I’m sure kids who love rugby, cricket ( some must love it I suppose...), baseball, tennis etc. feel the same.

I love music. I wish I’d been good enough to make money doing something I love.

I don’t hate my job, and I’m paid an above average wage for doing it, but it’s nothing for kids to dream about.

A lot of skills don't have any use except for indulgence, like art - a lot of artists get paid huge amounts because they can do that skill better, and many kids dream to be artists
