Liverpool was very disappointing. Too many important players are injured.

Liverpool’s mini-revival came to a halt with a shock 1-0 loss at relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday.

No such thing as an upset when Liverpool loses this year.

Liverpool does not do revivals, mini or otherwise. That is journalists speak to write and sell articles. Liverpool has too many injuries and should have bought two new midfielders back in the summer.

Major strikes, Diaz and Jota are out until next year. Nunez and Thiago were absent yesterday. Fabinho is underperforming and yesterday so was Van Dijk.

Still, plenty to play for. Liverpool won the Charity Shield against Man City. They are the only team to beat them twice so far this season. FA and League Cups. European Cup.

Big up to Forest, they deserved their win. But Liverpool were rubbish. They will be in a fight now to make the Champions League places. No depth in the squad when injuries strike, always too much reliance on Salah to rescue them. Klopp needs to pick up his game...fast.

Something’s missing this year; disappointing, indeed. But(!),

there’s a WC this year; it all depends on how the players and their teams will come back from that; everything can happen and nothing’s lost. I believe Klopp knows what he’s doing.

It’s obviously early days, but any side from 8th to 20th could go down. There isn’t a cert and a lot of dross. Everton played well yesterday but Palace were dire.

Liverpool have a lot of injuries but as mentioned earlier, key men like van Dijk aren’t playing well either.

I watched Palace match and was terribly upset by how terrible they performed and Mr Viera’s changes were very queer indeed. I hope he’s not turning potty from all the stress.

This season will in fact be a TALE OF TWO SEASONS divided by the WC. Who gets injured will play a big part of the 2nd part of the season.

22 goals in 15 appearances in all competitions - what a massive feat by young Erling Haaland. The Norwegian star striker is winning the hearts of football fans across the footballing world.
