I was reading the comments in the daily mail.

Yes, indeed many countries have their legendary and similarly gifted soccer players. For us Germans and real soccer fans he was called 'Der Kaiser' (Cesar), so not an invisible untouchable god, but always someone from daily life and reality, an outstanding, important and excellent soccer player,later a national team trainer, soccer and sports official and in general a great personality in society and public. R.I.P., Franz.

Played for Germany and Bayern Munich and earned the nickname ‘Der Kaiser’. No small ponds.
