I watched the game. Neither team really impressed me. They both need a lot of work to do.

What a game coming up - two clubs who don't even play in the cities they're supposed to represent. I'm rooting for Gamba Suita because I'm sick of Salford United.

What I don't understand is why didn't they use Toyota Stadium as one of the world cup venues? A football specific stadium is always better than a stadium with a running track encircling the field. It just doesn't make sense.

Go Gamba...I don't think they'll win but I hope they perform well against Man U. 2-0 to Man U I think.

How unfortunate that Manyoo have to enter this 'Mickey Mouse Cup'. Manyoo could put out their second string team and p*ss all over Gamba. Hardly worth the turmoil that it will bring to their domestic campaign, though it will sell a few more pieces of that red rag merchandise.

whitepocky,

Ask the Gamba players if its a dream come true to play the likes of Man U. They would play for free if it came down to it. Man U is a big ticket machine and sure, they get financial rewards but the reward for Gamaba players is a great experience to treasure for the rest of their lives. See if you live to achieve such heights in your own life.

surge, try to let go of the bitterness: United don't play in salford...their official address is: Sir Matt Busby Way, Old Trafford, Manchester, M16 0RA and is located about 5 kms from the city centre.

just accept the Reds for what they are: the superb, world-famous purveyors of the "beautiful game".

And, just for the record, Suita is in Osaka prefecture.

And most of their prawn sandwich-munching fans are located about 5 kms from some of the best boarding schools in Southern England.

Yes, watch how Cristiano flies beautifully through the air when a defender breathes in his vicinity.

northlondon....so given a choice, you wouldn't have Ronaldo in your team then?......Actually I thought your favourite sport was the one where fat blokes in pyjamas chuck a big cricket ball about.

I don't see why manyoo should have to fly half the way around the world to fulfill the dreams of the 'Gamba players'. Come January when the 3rd round of the FA Cup kicks off, there will be more than a few teams who get the opportunity to play against the big boys. Haven & Waterloo proved what a great spectacle the FA Cup is last year when they had a 1-2 lead at Anfield in the 4th round. This 'Mickey Mouse Cup' is supposed to bring the champions of all 6 continents together to decide a winner, not be 'an experience' for the minnows of football.
