Favourites? England lost to Iceland last week

To be fair, it wasn’t the best 11 out there but it was still very poor.

I don’t see them as favourites for this either. Stones, England’s best centre-half, has had injury problems for months and the others are no better than solid. They might start Trippier who many Newcastle fans think is finished.

Yeah, with a defence like England's I can't see them even reaching the final, though many other countries would kill to have Foden, Saka, Rice, Kane and Bellingham in their line-ups.

All top European teams look capable of lifting the Monsieur Henri Delaunay trophy on July 14. It is their brand of killer-instinct that will separate the winners from those who also ran. Portugal and England look dangerous upfront. France has quality players to cover all areas of the pitch. Kylian Mbappé is their danger man upfront. Wishing footballers, organizers, and fans top class action and counter-action in Germany.

Some good football.
