RIP Arnie. Thanks for everything.
serendipitous
What a legend he was and always had a good sense of humor too. Remember the famous line a commentator said realizing too late the other meaning.....?!
During a PGA golf tournament one day a television commentator offered a curious insight into Arnold Palmer's game. "One of the reasons Arnie is playing so well," he remarked, "is that, before each tee shot, his wife takes out his balls and kisses them ..."

The King is dead; long live the King! RIP
With this, and Jose Fernandez, and Vin Scully's final home broadcast after 66 years on the job, sports lost a lot today

Rest in peace, Arnold. You were an amazing sportsman.

Arnold Palmer made golf in America. One of the most impactful athletes of the 20th century and an absolute legend of golf. RIP.

No denying he was the king. Even those who barely know golf know the man's name. RIP

Gave my girlfriends brother in law an early Golf Digest ith Arnie's face in full close up on the cover with a kind of quizzical look on his face as a gift when we stayed with them in Palm Desert. Wonderful cover.

Total class all the way. What an amazing life and legend. I used to live in Palm Desert in the 90s and saw him play in a senior tour event in Indian Wells. He always took time out to shake everyone's hand and sign autographs. RIP

Before Arnie, golf was a country club sport. Arnie brought golf to the masses. Due to Arnie, golf became a people's sport.

Rest in peace, Arnie.

I grew up with Arnie as my kind of role model for golf. As others have said, he was total 'class' all the way. Thank you Arnie. RIP
