I consider Kagawa to be far better, as a player. The dyed blonde look doesn`t suit Japanese

If I remember correctly, no clubs were fighting to buy Kagawa from Dortmund either! ;)

Mourinho revealed lately that he wanted to bring Kagawa to Real Madrid. Another Spanish football superpower of recent years, Atletico Madrid, still shows interest in him.

Is it true Kagawa ate too much and had his stomach pumped therefore missing the newcastle game?

He denied that rumour. But it started living it's own life.

If Honda is really the superstar some people here seem to think he is, why is he going on a free transfer at 27 years old? Where were all the clubs fighting each other off to buy him?

It was his former club, CSKA Moscow, which denied the move as they wanted to keep him as he was a Russian league star and help the team to the end. We don't know what other clubs which wanted him were but AC Milan was the club which was really persistent with the offer and Honda wanted to play for a big club in Italy since he was a teenager.

To all the naysayers and cynics - rest assured, teams like AC MIlan and Man U do not waste their money on average players.

You're not a football fan, are you? 80% of the Man U squad is average right now. AC Milan, I have no idea about because Italian football is in the toilet right now compared to before.

Indeed, he's been subbed off and after that Everton scored ;)

You're right about Kagawa playing in our defeat against the Toffees but wrong about his substitution. Kagawa played all 90+ of that match.

Uh, no.

"Moyes replaced Kagawa and Rafael with Nani and Adnan Januzaj only 12 minutes into the second half after Everton came out strong following the interval."

I've always thought he should have gone to a continental European side especially now that David Moyes has become manager of Manchester United. They will be missing out on a Champions League place next season so he should move to Italy, or go back to Borussia Dortmund who play a much more sophisticated brand of football that David Moyes will never achieve at Man Utd.

Dude. It's still December.

Good luck to him.

Keisuke Honda will force his way into Milan's starting eleven immediately - this current Milan team is very weak and Honda is better than the likes of Valta Birsa and Antonio Nocerino. Honda will strengthen their attack and should form a good partnership with Kaka and Mario Ballotelli. As for Shinji Kagawa, he has obviously struggled to adapt to the Premier League but he is Manchester United's main man, along with Wayne Rooney, in the European Champions League. He was man of the match against Bayer Leverkusen a few weeks ago and all their attack went through Kagawa in that game. I always rated Honda more than Kagawa. He has potential to become the greatest Asian footballer of our time, as he is still young but already good enough to start games for the likes of AC Milan.

Just to let you know, you're wrong. They lost against Everton 10 days ago with Kagawa in the team. He started, got subbed in less than an hour

Man U has never lost games in this season when Kagawa played, just to let you know.

Kagawa and Honda aren't benchwarmers, Kagawa plays every time he's available for Manchester United recently.

And look how terrible Man U are doing! Just kidding ;)

I'm glad he finally got his much wanted (and what he believed self-entitled) move to Europe.

Jimizo: "If he gets off the bench, we might see if he's as good as he thinks he is."

Took the words out of his mouth. If he does well, I'll gladly say I was wrong about him, or at the very least he's living up to his rep. I doubt the media frenzy for the whole 'golden boy' thing will die down, though, unfortunately. Best of luck, Honda -- I mean that.

Tired? Thanks for giving me a good laugh, his main problem will be keeping warm on the bench.

He played in every game for CSKA this year, haven't got any vacations because of Confederations Cup in Brazil and played in every Japanese National Team game this year. Two games every week, something around 40 in half of the year. Probably one of the busiest football player on European pitches this year.

In fact, with Kagawa at United and Honda at Milan, this season will settle once and for all the issue of who is Japan's top bench-warmer.

Honda will find the action in the Italian soccer league a lot rougher than where he's played before.

Rough? I think you misread the article. He's going to the Serie A, not the Bundesliga or Premier League.

He might start on the bench, but wont be warming it for long if he is used properly by the coach. He is quality, just like Nagatomo for Inter. Japan is getting stronger and stronger, while my country, Aus, is on the reverse :/

Glad to see he got his move. If he gets off the bench, we might see if he's as good as he thinks he is. Best of luck to him.

Kind of good he can't play in CL. at least he won't be too tired for Japan. although Milan probably won't go far anyway judging by the way they scraped into the last 16.
