"Japan and CSKA Moscow midfielder Keisuke Honda, the 2011 Asian Cup’s most valuable player"

I still remember how humorous a decision this was, and remember a lot of people suggesting it was made before the games were done. The guy did not, and does not, deserve the credit. He is an arrogant fool and not at all a great player. When he gets to his new team, assuming he's not still injured, that will probably show and he'll be marginal at best. But he'll still brag about himself.

Will be interesting to see how Honda does. Lazio is a pretty big club. Going to Italy, he will first have to learn some important techniques to adapt. Theatrics such as remonstrating with and man-handling the referee, barrel-rolling 20 times when someone touches his shirt, being stretchered off for no apparent reason and then miraculously re-appearing 5 minutes later - and of course - diving in the box.

BurakuminDes: At least he won't have to learn how to miss the goal and then be upset because a goal was his god-given right. :)

Do you have a problem with ambitious people ? Geez if only Honda was only talk, but he's racking up the achievements these past two years. Before getting injured by a murderous tackle, he was already at 7 goals in 13 matches with CSKA. He's a true leader and a guy who can back up his talk, good luck to him.

Great movie for Honda, its fantastic to see Japanese players stepping up and taking an important role in some big clubs in Europe.

Seeing only the title I knew smith will jump on. Why you hate him so much?

Anyway - it is a step forward for Honda - wishing him success although I feel England would be better fit for his style.

I agree that Honda is confident, arrogant, ambitious, but that's exactly the kind of player Japan's national team needs. We don't want all the players to be like him but one confident player is good to have. Too many Japanese players play not to make mistakes, instead of trying to score a goal, just pass, pass and pass some more.

Well, there is no decision win in soccer, so you need to be aggressive and Honda does exactly that. I'm glad finally we can see him in one of the major leagues

At least he won't freeze in Moscow. Italy sounds belissimo.
